This is a new type of Facebook tagging, and one that could get you in a lot of trouble, too! 🙂
It’s not because this Facebook tagging is “inappropriate” with language, images or topic. No. It’s because this is going to bruise some egos!
It’s meant for judgmental people so if that’s you, and you’re not afraid to bruise some egos, then go for it! The trade off is that you’ll also praise some people, like giving them an award, so you can also win some favours!
In this Facebook tagging, you have to decide who are your 10 most athletic Facebook friends and tag them.
Those 10 are going to be happy. Those who felt they could have been in the top 10 based on who they saw you tag, cause they thought they were more athletic than at least one of those tagged, won’t! Depending on their personalities, they’ll react in a variety of ways, some of which won’t be pleasant.
Do you think you can handle that? If so, then let’s get on with it!
You can go with the Guy Edition or Girl Edition that have a special stamp on them to designate only males and females are competing against each other for the honour. Don’t think of it as being sexist, but rather having the opportunity to praise 20 instead of 10 people (and bruising 10 fewer egos). Or you can just want to go straight Top 10, you could also do that.
In all cases, identify your top 10 most athletic Facebook friends. If you just go with 10 friends, count how many females are in that group.
Then you pick the meme below which has the same number of females (ex. 5 females, meaning 5 guys make up the rest of your list). I’ve labeled the graphics by the number of females because you really only need to know that number. The number of males has to add up to make 10 so why complicate things?
Right click on the thumbnail below once you click on it to Save Picture As, for PC users. Not sure what Mac users have to do but I guess they’ll know. Then upload your saved image to your Facebook profile.
Then you tag your friends.
You won’t be able to match most of your Facebook friends to their sports. There are way too many combinations to design the perfect meme for your situation, although if someone could design an app that plays this kind of game, I’d bet it’d be real popular! I just tried to cover 10 different popular sports among the sports figures in the memes.
Your Facebook friends probably won’t mind if you tagged them to a sports figure from a different sport. However, they’d probably get ticked off if you tag them as someone of the opposite gender, like tagging a guy to a girl’s image. That’s why you need to pick out the right meme above with the correct gender numbers.
Athletes appearing in the memes include:
- Michael Jordan (basketball)
- Lisa Leslie (basketball)
- Manny Pacquiao (boxing)
- Lionel Messi (soccer)
- Cristiano Ronaldo (soccer)
- Mia Hamm (soccer)
- Roger Federer (tennis)
- Venus Williams (tennis)
- Sidney Crosby (hockey)
- Hayley Wickenheiser (hockey)
- Ichiro Suzuki (baseball)
- Yuna Kim (figure skating)
- Michael Phelps (swimming)
- Amanda Beard (swimming)
- Usain Bolt (track and field)
- Jackie Joyner-Kersee (track and field)
- Peyton Manning (North American football)
- Lorena Ochoa (golf)
- Haile Gebrselassie (distance running)
- Danica Patrick (auto racing)
