Introducing the Sham Shim (simplified shim sham for kids)

For my work Christmas party for kids this year, I came up with the idea to teach kids some jazz line dancing after having learned the Shim Sham.

I would simplify it, though, so kids would have fun and not get frustrated. Then I put it in terms they could understand rather than the jazz dance step names to make things. Here’s what I came up with.

What Would Be Your “Metta World Peace” Name?

Ron Artest, the basketball player currently known as Metta World Peace, changed his name in a tone of hypocrisy to try to cover up his violent past on and off the basketball court. He has been in brawls, is a repeat offender for dishing out nasty flagrant fouls, suspended for about 100 games and arrested on domestic violence. Yet, the music used in them, which made those trailers as fantastic as any other feature of them, were not on the X-men First Class soundtrack! I don’t know why that is, but below is a 7 minute extended version of that music if you love it as much as I do!

The music is a tune called Half the Man, by Kopius Few and Methodic Doubt (2 min MP3 download that’s a bit different than in the video).
