Daily 5 Minute Retrospective Routine at Night
Happy New Year!
Last year, before I went to sleep each night, I took a few minutes to ask myself what was my memory of the day? and get myself an answer for it. Some days, it was quick. Other days, it was not. Most days it was good. Some days, it was not. It was generally a very nice daily retrospective exercise each night, to appreciate each day, often with some gratefulness as well.
This year, I’m needing some more intensity in my life so I’m adding an additional question to that nightly retrospective routine to make it:
List of 267 Celebrity Deaths in 2016 by Date, with Bio and Age
Update: 267 now with M*A*S*H* star William Christopher passing away on Dec 31 of cancer at the age of 84.
This is one of the most comprehensive lists found online, within reason of who counts as a celebrity. This list is fairly comprehensive because I had compiled it from a half a dozen fairly comprehensive lists from major sources like NBC, the BBC and so on. My list also has brief bios, death dates (in chronological order) and age at death. There are a few hours left in 2016 where I live but I’m not going to wait till 2017 to post this. I’ll just make any additions needed when I find out, or if you tell me about it.
Sad as this list is to see, you should have enjoyed 2016 for celebrity deaths while you could have. It’ll only get worse due to how many more people we can know these days compared to way back when there was no social media, Internet or even television! See full reasons here. CNN says it wasn’t the worst year by some high threshold of “celebrity”, that was edged out by 2006, but you can judge for yourself. 2016 might not have been worst but it certainly felt that way due to social media… which is exactly what I was talking about. Just on media and the dawning of the Internet, though, I foresaw this in 1995 as noted in this poem.

Switching my Inner Critic Voice from Dr Phil to Simon Cowell
I am my biggest critic. I am also my biggest supporter. How I think through life, though, is not solo, like a soliloquy or contemplative thought. Rather, it is conversational, with soliloquy like speeches. It’s technically a soliloquy since it’s myself to whom I am speaking, though, more technically, it’s some alter ego to whom I am speaking that will engage in conversation with me. You figure it out what it actually is because I don’t particularly care. 🙂
TARTAN Toque and Scotia Mittens Doubled Layered Fleece Set
This matching set of double layered fleece toque and mittens is based on the Nova Scotia (NS) tartan. Not being Scottish but living in Nova Scotia, I can only claim the NS tartan as my own to wear. Fortunately for me, it’s not only easy to find compared to any other clan or province’s tartan out there, it’s also my favourite tartan! With patriotic garments always popular with many, it was only a matter of time before I’d get myself a set of these tartan toque and mittens. I figured I shouldn’t wait so here they are!
