What Will Happen to Hosni Mubarak Now?

Hosni Mubarak has resigned as dictator of Egypt. In the immediate moment after his resignation, nobody in Egypt is probably caring much for what happens to Hosni, but soon, they will, or will have to.

Are they going to let him get away with the $40-70 Billion dollars he made on them?

Are they going to let him get away with all the war crimes and crimes against humanity he committed?

Are they going to let him run off to some place where a few tens of billions of dollars to your name can buy you a few friends and a luxurious retirement?

Somehow, I doubt it. So what will the people do?

Hosni is reportedly still in Egypt right now so he is still subject to the wrath of the people and the country’s laws. The Swiss have frozen all his assets in their banks. He’s not out of the desert yet. Not by a long shot.

And who is going to take him in? Saudi Arabia turned over the Tunisian dictator who fled there. Given Mubarak’s reputation these days and all that hangs over him, taking him in is just getting yourself a lot of unwanted attention, unless you don’t care and just want a few billion dollars… like the Iranian regime.

There are speculations going around Mubarak might go to Germany for surgery, but does Germany need to be the final resting place for another dictator? Seriously, Germany. Think about it! You’re far better than that.

So how will his life end, not that I’m proposing anything unnatural but he’s an old guy with medical problems anyway so it might not be far off? Anyone care to guess?

  1. Aren’t there plenty of private airfields in Egypt to accomodate Mubaracks fleet of private Jets? His palace made me sick.I’m really interested in where he will go. Jail/arrest him now and let him stand trial in Egypt. Take all his money from him and put him to work counting grains of sand in the desert for the rest of his life

    • Yeah, seriously. Let’s wait and see. In the meanwhile, it seems, other nations are keeping us engaged with their new revolutions. But when Mubarak is ready for his due, we’ll know for sure. Let’s just hope it’s just.

  2. I propose the pig mubarak is killed by lethal injection as he killed many egyptians of poverty and starvation and mental illness

    • He would have to get a legal trial that could take years and lots more money of the Egyptian tax payers… and he might die of old age before then. I’ll leave you to conclude what I’m hinting.

    • We did not know anything about this, we thought Mubarak, was a good human been. If these allegations are true, how come nothing was revealed in the media for thirty something years?
