I seem to be developing a lingo of my own to talk about the 2016 US Election and its fall out. I’ve been avoiding saying the Shrump’s name correctly cause he’s that much of a caricature to me. Now, I’m going to refer to the 2016 US election as simply, 8-11.

Don’t Say his Name Right (that APPOTUS Thump guy)

I’ve been sick of hearing about that guy who got the minority popular vote in the US election for months now. As a result, I had been having fun with not saying, or writing, his name correctly to be able to talk about him, without adding to the noise, while poking fun at him and showing some disrespect. Schrump is my favourite so far among choices like Thump, Dump, Chump, Rump, Clump, among others.

The Smith Cloud is our Galaxy’s Fart Coming Back to Us

I learned about the Smith Cloud today via the video below from NASA. It’s a gas cloud the mass of about 2 million Suns (not much astronomically), moving at a high velocity of about 700,000 miles per hour. It’s one of many circling the Milky Way, but one that is coming back to collide with the Milky Way. When it does, it’ll just kind of merge in and cause a lot of new stars to form from all the gas and energy it carries, not much more. Boring, with a slightly mysterious history likely unraveled, unless you look at it in a different way with a scientifically apt metaphor…
