Who Will Be First to 3D Print Pluto at Scale?

NASA has just released some amazing high resolution files of Pluto.

The resolution is more than good enough to create a 3D print of the planet, at something like a room sized scale, and maintain all of the details captured, in my opinion. If done smaller, you’ll even lose some details! That is, the information might be finer than the 3D printing technology that is currently available!

So the only thing remaining for me to ask is who will be the first?

I think that would be quite something to see, Pluto in 3D compared to just a speck of light we knew of its appearance only a short prior to whenever they get enough information to print the 3D model!

Modern Tennis Racquets Painted Like Wood?

I play tennis and I had a thought this morning. Modern racquets are a nice glimpse of successes of material science. Everything from the strings to frame to grip. They’re also painted to look advanced and “cool” as well. But there’s plenty of it out there, and a lot border on ghastliness!

Why doesn’t someone make a modern racquet and paint it as if it were wooden?

Check Out my Spotify

Every once in a while, I try something new on the Internet and it sticks with me to become a part of my life. The most recent one is Spotify online music streaming and I just wanted to share my set of playlists with anyone who might care for it, or check out Spotify for themselves. Wi-fi, especially free wi-fi, is widely available in a lot of places these days, so it’s like being able to take some music libraries with you anywhere you go. That could be the entire Spotify catalogue you’d have access to, or just your own playlists (or others’ playlists you can follow as part of your library.

BJORN Tennis Shorts

BJORN Tennis Shorts (front)

I finally got pictures of me taken in these shorts in the post linked here.

Last summer, a lady at St George’s tennis club gave me an old brown T-shirt with the Bjorn Borg kneeling victory celebration silhouette in white logo (see pic). I guess she thought I could fit it but it was too big for me, so I got this idea to use that logo and fabric in a pair of tennis shorts highlighting that logo. They’re be like long beach or basketball shorts except I’d use them for tennis given that Bjorn Borg tennis player logo. Like my trademark tennis shorts, they’d also only have one pocket opposite my serving side to hold balls, since the serving arm always has the racquet in hand.
