Dallas Mavericks Rewrite Miami Heat’s Big Three Legacy with 2011 NBA Championship!

Congratulations to Dirk Nowitzki and the entire Dallas Mavericks organization in winning the 2011 NBA Championship!

By winning against the self-touted Big Three of Dwayne Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, the Mavericks made a lot, if not most, of America and the world as happy as they are! For what you think of those players on the Heat and their moves to unite, make the “Decision” and all, the self-annointment was absolutely unnecessary. As far as I’m concerned, they got what they deserved for it. It was too bad D Wade had to be a part of it all and be drawn into it cause he’s such a classy guy otherwise.

Ironically, what came out of this NBA Finals, as far as “legacy” is concerned, is a deserving one for Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki. Unfairly called “soft” and worse over the years, he’s silenced all the critics now with his performance in these playoffs, especially in the Finals. Not only did he show up, he showed up against the Big Three and not just any old team.

And how’s about championships for guys not considered “winners” for having a lack of a ring, like Jason Kidd and Sean Marion? Hollywood stuff, guys!

As for the Big Three, well, they’re going to need to revise their script, and now fight harder to write their legacy. Not only do they not have anything to show for it, they have a big loss and disappearing act in these finals to dig themselves out of because their legacy is a negative one right now. Judging from the way they didn’t show up in the critical time of these finals, they’re not going to be writing any legacy they’re going to be proud of in the future, either, unless some drastic changes take place. That holds truest for LeBron James.

But overall, what a Finals!
