Churches Pennant
DESCRIPTION
“On a black background sits an equilateral pennant on the hoist edge with a blue schooner silhouette pointing to the fly, while three churches in mauve, yellow, and green sit on the black to the hoist side of the pennant and schooner.”
REFERENCES
The black represent Mahone Bay’s long history associated with privateering. The pennant is for its maritime association, with the schooner being a symbol of its most well known shipbuilder that has not existed for some time. The three churches on the town’s waterfront, as seen, are arguably for what Mahone Bay is best known. The way they are rendered is from their historic logo, and now a version of their current logo. They are detailed, but the residents seem quite insistent on this logo and rendering of those churches being used. The colours chosen are inspired by the many bright houses in town.

This is a personal project I have been doing for a year, not an effort by the municipality or its citizens.
