After the Elite 8, President Barack Obama’s Barackets are still beating 89.5% of the brackets entered in ESPN’s March Madness Tournament Challenge. See links below for his picks. However, he only has Louisville remaining, and had picked Indiana to win it all. So pending who wins and who else picked what, he could end up very well, or slide big time. If Louisville makes it to the championship game but do not win, damage will be minimized, relatively speaking. If Louisville wins, lots of people might pass da Prez’ Barackets. If Louisville doesn’t win and one of the other Final Four team wins, the President will be flying high because relatively few people picked any of the other choices to have gone far.

President Obama’s 2013 Barackets Doing Excellent After Sweet 16
Oh, how a round changes things in March Madness! After the second round (now actually called third round), President Obama’s Barackets were standing at the 62.2 percentile. That is, his was ahead of 62.2 percent of the brackets submitted on ESPN. Well, after the Sweet 16, he is now standing in the 92.2 percentile! (see bracket links below).
Obama Brackets Doing OK After 2 Rounds
After Round 1, President Obama’s 2013 Barackets were hurting pretty badly, standing at the 19.1 percentile among ESPN brackets. However, a mad Round 2 saw a lot of the brackets belonging to people ahead of da Prez get busted (see link below), including mine. That left da Prez at 62.2 percentile among ESPN brackets submitted, or ahead of 62.2 percent of brackets submitted. He’s roughly beating 5 of every 8 brackets submitted, in other words.
Will Your March Madness Brackets Beat President Obama’s Barackets This Year?
It’s my favourite time of the sports year again, March Madness! As usual, President Barack Obama has submitted his “Barackets”. As usual, I will monitor it throughout the Tournament to see how it’s doing against the general public, and a few others’ brackets, including my own. I am 3-1 against da Prez in the past 4 years.
How Much Credit Should Obama Get for Killing bin Laden? Vote!
Politicians often get or take a lot of credit for things done by many people by the nature of how we view things and of our political system. Conversely, they also get the flack for a lot of things, whether fairly or not because it might have been the errors or poor performance of many others. As the symbolic focal point for a lot of things, that’s how accountability is thrust upon them.
For their sake of accountability, the ability to be able to decide how much or little to get involved is a key trait to a good politician because nobody is an expert at everything. In fact, the more important politicians trusted with responsibility for various portfolios might not even know much about the issue. Their selection of responsibility might be for any number of reasons, from political like having power distributed in an area, to the lack of anyone else suitable, whether by knowledge or decision-making ability.
