Star Trek Facebook Picture Tagging Meme

I know that Star Trek is a HUGE franchise that is not only big currently but also has endured the test of time and has fans as passionate as any. Yet, there are no Star Trek Facebook picture tagging meme. Are Trekkers too serious and mature to do this sort of stuff? Not hardcore enough for Trekkers who have to suit up, part fingers and utter Klingon to have fun? I like to think not, but we’ll see. I’ve made an extra large collage of 25 Star Trek characters, compared to other versions listed below with 15-20 characters mostly, because I think any Trekker willing to use this will have many other Trekkers s/he can tag. Enjoy!

Harry Potter Facebook Picture Tagging Meme

Other Harry Potter graphics on this blog:

I must say I’m very surprised no one has created one of these Facebook picture tagging memes with Harry Potter characters. Isn’t Harry Potter, like, huge? Still? Maybe I’m wrong cause that many people couldn’t have forgotten about Harry Potter, could they have? Well, we’ll see, I guess, from how many people who view and download this graphic and tell others about it. Harry Potter fans, enjoy!

Since the original posting, I have found more Harry Potter tagging posters, have enhanced them in various ways and added them to the collection.

Super Mario Bros Facebook Picture Tagging Meme

According to Wikipedia, the most sold video game ever is Super Mario Bros, whether alone or in all its subsequent upgrades. Even if you have doubts in Wikipedia, the numbers are so staggeringly wide in gap that they can’t be wrong in terms of order. Regardless, this Facebook tagging picture meme is for those fans of Super Mario Bros. I didn’t label the characters because if you play the game, you have to know the characters, whether they are friend or foe, what special powers they possess and how you can nullify or put it to use to succeed in the game. If you generally know all that, labeling the names is just wasted space.

Dare to Wear Facebook Tagging Picture Meme

Time for another Facebook picture tagging meme evolution!

Instead of just associating people with things, or suggesting they Should Try something, it’s time to try a different motivational technique and up the ante on the fun a little bit!

This is mostly for daring the guys (and some girls) you tag to wear some things women wear for a day!

This includes make-up and hair as well as actual clothing. Why? Education purposes, of course! 😉

Seriously! For the guys, I wonder how many  know what women have to put up with to wear some of the things to make them look/feel attractive, or to be so for a guy, or that society pressures them to. Ultimately, it is the woman’s choice to wear or not wear any of these things, but having an appreciation of the trouble some of these items cause to life could only enhance gender relations. How many jokes and misunderstandings do you know of regarding how long women take to dress and such? For the girls, just good old fun.

Now, before anyone “responsible” freaks on me, let me just say this was designed with a lot of thought so as not to be disruptive, even for school cause I know a lot of teenagers are on Facebook and may use this. I personally recommend a Saturday of fun or something, though, or a stag party. Sure, it’s not your usual dress, but I don’t have anything in here like thongs or perfume that could really look obscene or violate no scent policies. And nobody said this had to be on the outermost, either. Just visible somehow to confirm, although it’d be funner the more visible something were, like the fishnets under shorts instead of hidden under full length jeans.

Remember, I’m Digital Citizen, not Digital Troublemaker, Digital Deviant, Digital Rebel Rouser or anything of the sort.

I suggest if you use this to choose a “Dare Day” where those tagged can show up together so no one is alone in being poked fun at, and I beg for just good-natured poking fun.

NO BULLYING, PLEASE!

Silver Screen Facebook Picture Tagging Meme

NEW!

Audrey Hepburn

Sample avatar of Audrey Hepburn (actual size)

Click here to see the video I made with these and similar images to 1940s crooner Margaret Whiting singing The Lies of Handsome Men.

And click here to get avatars and buddy icons of the 20 silver screen stars you see here, plus 8 more I did not use to create the collage below!

This is an old skool style Facebook tagging meme where it’s just pictures you tag and attribute whatever to them you choose to, not a new style version where there’s a more direct message. However, I just realized that just about everything that’s been created has been for the younger generation. While it’s true the younger generations do dominate the Internet usage, and Facebook, that was no reason to not create something for our elders.

Here’s how to get the picture:

  • Click on the picture below to get it at full size.
  • Right click on that picture and save to your computer.
  • Upload it to your Facebook profile.
  • Tag your friends (or let them tag themselves).
  • Click the Back button on your browser to return to this post.

I read somewhere that the elders were the largest growing age demographic of Internet users, in part because it was an effective way to keep up with their grandchildren and/or children. Intuitively accurate, if you ask me, as there’s a lot of motivation to be found in being involved in the lives of grandchildren, especially if you have a lot of time on your hands. Still, the elder demographic fall behind the averages. Check out the Forrester Research’s Groundswell Blog Social Technographics profiles to confirm. Pick the 55+ age category for any country and see how the blue bars tend to fall short of the thin white vertical line average for every participating category of Internet users.

Apr 14 update: CNN confirmed what I said above in its All in the Facebook family story on Apr 13.

Those Social Technographics further revealed the 55+ users to be very unlikely to be Joiners or users who maintain social networking profiles, i.e. Facebook users. But as said above, that was no reason to avoid creating something for them. So here is a collection of classic movie stars from the silver screen, when the silver screen still looked silver. They are beautiful portraits which I personally see no reason why the younger generation couldn’t use themselves and learn something of our treasured past. Heck, they sure look better to me than a lot of the movie star picture these days!

Special credits goes to Dr Macro’s High Quality Movie Scans site for many of the portraits used in the Facebook tagging picture above. Beautiful galleries and lots of great info!

By the way, what’s the big deal with Bette Davis’ eyes, like mentioned in Kim Carnes’ song? [ Lyrics ]

Have you seen Lauren Bacall’s eyes? Them’s first degree murder!

Lauren is not in the Facebook tagging meme because she is still living. Yeah, those eyes will even keep Death away!
