I made this coat 4 years ago, with details in this post. As awesome as it was with the built in sword holders in the back, it’s taken me a while to get some photos of myself in it. Better late than never!
With the Denver Broncos heading to the Super Bowl, lots of Broncos fans will be wearing their Broncos gear with pride. Most of them will be wearing gear they bought, though, unlike me, who will be wearing one I designed and made!
It’s gonna be a double pride week to not only wear Broncos gear, but Broncos gear I designed and made that is admired by a lot of people who see it! 🙂
GO BRONCOS! Love ya Peyton! 🙂
Last fall, I was at Hal-Con, Halifax’s “comic-con”, where there were MANY FANTASTIC cosplay! You can check out the site for photos. I went as a Grand Moff (high ranking officer) from Star Wars, and here’s my cosplay. I have some adult jokes in this post, though, so if please don’t read on if you don’t like such humour.
I had such high hopes and good intentions for this project. Then I overdid things and got a marginally acceptable garment… for now.
One of the first patterns I ever tried sewing was Simplicity 5386, which was the duster coat copy from one of my favourite movies, The Matrix. Nice pattern. Horrible sizing. There was so much ease in the pattern I could have fitted a woman inside it along with myself, which would have been great for another type of garment but I digress…
