Facebook Share Your Top 10 Dylan Songs Leading to Bob’s Birthday on May 24th

Bob Dylan

May 24th 2011 will be the 70th birthday of legendary music icon Bob Dylan, and Rolling Stone magazine has an incredible tribute to him. They had lots of famous musicians share their favourite Dylan songs as one feature, among lots of other great features. From this, I got the idea for people to pay their own tribute to Bob while sharing with others your love for Bob and his music using social media.

Earth Day Goal 2010 Achieved, What to Pledge for 2011?

Happy Earth Day to you,
Happy Earth Day to you,
Happy Earth Day dear reader,
Happy Earth Day to you!

What are you going to do,
To keep sea and sky blue,
To reduce your C-O-2,
To be green the year through?

HAPPY EARTH DAY, EVERYBODY!

On Earth Day 2010, I pledged to eat “better” as my Earth Day goal for the year from that day.By “better”, I meant more local and more unprocessed foods, though I didn’t start out defining them that way, nor for the green reasons of food miles. Once I researched more and came to conclude food miles was a myth, though, I ate better for the economy and for my health. I’m sure it still has an environmental impact because I didn’t end up eating food grown in green houses here in the Canadian winter, that would have used up tonnes of excessive energy, but without being able to measure it, I couldn’t claim it for certain. One thing I am more certain, though, is that it saved me money not to be eating out so much as before given I don’t eat processed foods like frozen dinners that tend to be on the cheaper side, though I did eat more fast food than I should have.

Obama’s 2011 Barackets Beat 87.4% of ESPN Brackets Despite No Teams Past Elite 8

President Barack Obama

With the 2011 March Madness Tournament over, the results and in and Barack Obama’s 2011 Barackets beat 87.4% of ESPN’s 6 million or so bracket entries. This was despite having had no teams past the Elite 8 as da Prez picked heavily for the favourites in a year where parity was more the rule than the norm. However, he was bailed out by the fact the parity was so strong that less than 30% of entries had even one team in the Final Four. Translate that and it meant less than 30% had an entry that potentially had a chance to get points past the Elite 8 round or half the tournament! That’s one way to get bailed out for not being able to get points for half the tournament.

Now, if only the POTUS’ political foresight and planning only worked as well!

Despite many candidates vying for the role of Cinderella in the 2011 March Madness tournament, President Barack Obama’s Barackets remain super strong after the Sweet 16. The Barackets is still ahead of 96.8% of some 6 million ESPN Tournament Challenge entries because of the excellent upsets da Prez picked in the first and second rounds. However, the Barackets are now reliant only on Kansas, who the POTUS had picked to win it all.

Obama’s 2011 Barackets Now Ahead of 99.9% of ESPN Brackets After Round 2!

President Barack Obama

Despite some major upsets like #1 Pitt going down, President Obama’s 2011 NCAA March Madness Barackets is now ahead of 99.9% of ESPN brackets after two rounds!

That is behind 7,548 entries, but ahead of about 6 million others!

That’s also a gain of 0.1% from Round 1. Not much, maybe, but it’s not like da Prez had much room to progress standing at 99.8th percentile after Round 1. To gain against the best of the best is outstanding!

Da Prez really has his March Madness mojo going this year! See his Barackets after Round 2 below.
