Collars are something most of us put on as the pattern dictates when we sew. We wouldn’t think of changing it for two main reasons:
- A nice one was chosen for the design so another one probably doesn’t match as well.
- We’d have to create a custom collar, which is more work and possibly skills we don’t have.
- S (12 1/2″)
- M (13 1/2″)
- L (14 1/2″)
There is a nice variety of collars, and the size ranges is nice not only for different sized necks, but also to give you an idea of scaling should you need to adjust for necks smaller or larger than those provided. That’s something I know the vampires appreciate a lot! Muwahahahahaha!
In all seriousness, though, this is a great addition to any pattern collection to make it seem a lot larger for being able to add numerous variations to all the patterns you might have. It’s also great if you’re needing to learn how to create different collars for your own use. After all, you don’t want to be pattern dependent forever given you might get a nice idea once in a while to deviate from patterns.
For the judgmental fashionista, though, a word of warning to use these collars with caution. Not everything goes with everything by popular public opinion. However, Fashion is about self-expression so as far as I’m concerned, go for it! Make a Star Trek Next Generation uniform outfit with one of these collars for all I care! The Trekkers might, though. You know what I mean? 🙂
I don’t have experience with this pattern yet so I can’t say I can provide a full review. It will take me a while to get around to that with other things I have going to get around to it. However, I hope someone I know (or even otherwise online) might be able to get to try it and provide a review sooner, at which time I will provide a link here.
