I finally have some decent pictures of myself in some garments I’ve designed and made for myself so I’m going to start posting them. RUN Dress Shirt

This is my prototype for a short sleeve summer dress shirt, but which could also be worn during winter with a turtleneck or similar long sleeve T-shirt underneath. It’s nothing too grand, but fun to wear. The pattern is related to running, which I had done extensively in the past and still do today in a recreational manner. Of particular interest to me was the fact I now had a shirt with “No Pain No Gain” written on it.

The NAM Dress Shirt

This was the first dress shirt design I ever had, which inspired me to learn to sew and create my current wardrobe. It was a highly symbolic design with a distinct look and I finally got all the factors right to make it, from fit to craftsmanship to final design (from draft) to the matching buttons which I found quite serendipitously in Manhattan.

VILLA Dress Shirt

The crimson, white and powder blue colours on this dress shirt were inspired by those of the English football club, Aston Villa. However, let me be clear from the very start there is no association of this shirt design, myself or anything related with the Aston Villa football club. It was just the colour scheme that inspired me so I named my shirt appropriate to give credit where it’s due. I’m a Manchester United fan. 🙂
