Don’t Say his Name Right (that APPOTUS Thump guy)

I’ve been sick of hearing about that guy who got the minority popular vote in the US election for months now. As a result, I had been having fun with not saying, or writing, his name correctly to be able to talk about him, without adding to the noise, while poking fun at him and showing some disrespect. Schrump is my favourite so far among choices like Thump, Dump, Chump, Rump, Clump, among others.

Ready to Beat Obama’s Barackets Once Again

March Madness is once again upon us, and I am playing like millions of North Americans. Ever since President Barack Obama has been in office for the tournament, he has submitted what’s been known as the Barackets on ESPN. Of course, I took up the challenge to go against da Prez and have beaten him 4 out of 5 years. It’s all on this blog, with too many posts to link to. This year, I will once again go against da Prez and track it here.

My ESPN Brackets

President Obama’s Barackets

Do you have your brackets ready and do you think you can beat The POTUS if so? He beat almost 75% of all brackets on ESPN last year, and something like over 90% in 2009, if memory serves, when he correctly picked North Carolina to win it all. He went with Michigan State this year. I went with Florida. Both coaches have won it all so they know how. Teams are both great. Florida’s been together longer.

Good luck and game on!

Obama’s 2011 Barackets Beat 87.4% of ESPN Brackets Despite No Teams Past Elite 8

President Barack Obama

With the 2011 March Madness Tournament over, the results and in and Barack Obama’s 2011 Barackets beat 87.4% of ESPN’s 6 million or so bracket entries. This was despite having had no teams past the Elite 8 as da Prez picked heavily for the favourites in a year where parity was more the rule than the norm. However, he was bailed out by the fact the parity was so strong that less than 30% of entries had even one team in the Final Four. Translate that and it meant less than 30% had an entry that potentially had a chance to get points past the Elite 8 round or half the tournament! That’s one way to get bailed out for not being able to get points for half the tournament.

Now, if only the POTUS’ political foresight and planning only worked as well!

POTUS Obama Beating 99.8% of ESPN 2011 March Madness Brackets After Round 1

President Barack Obama

Please click here to see how the Barackets are doing against the nation after Round 2.

After Round 1 of the 2011 NCAA March Madness Tournament, President Barack Obama’s safe “presidential style” Barackets is beating 11,336 of about six million brackets, or about 99.8% of them!

Da Prez is where he is after Round 1 by predicting 28 of 32 correct picks in the round! That’s 3 better than where he was at this point in 2010.
