I have my version of the popular 30 Day Song Challenge on Facebook because the one on Facebook just doesn’t have enough variety and challenge, quite frankly. These songs are my answers to my set of 30 challenge criteria for songs to share on Facebook. Who’s More of a Psycho, Donald Trump or Anthony Weiner?
After having been put in his place by President Barack Obama and shutting up for a while, Donald Trump decided to make an ass of himself again today by taking to YouTube and calling disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner “a psycho”.
If you’re that interested in what the Donald has to say, you can look it up yourself because I’m not wasting my time to find it for a link or be willing to embed the video on my site.
But the Trumpster calling someone else a psycho??? C’MON MAN!!!
Seriously… oh, yeah. I forgot. You can’t take the Donster seriously.
Is Apple Going iCloud a Good Idea? Convince Me.
Steve Jobs of Apple recently announced Apple is going “cloud”, essentially declaring the end of the age of the personal computer becoming the central hub of people’s digital lives (NY Times, Jun 6 2011).
Essentially, Apple is proposing the replacement of a hard drive in a computer with storing and syncing things online so you have access to all of your stuff on any device in any place at any time. The iCloud service starts with photos, music, files and software.
Sounds really great until you stop and think about a few things.

Li Na of China won the French Open today to become the first Chinese to win a tennis Grand Slam major tournament! Aside from the historic nature of the accomplishment, the future impact of how Li Na achieved this success on the Chinese tennis, athletic and general culture will be the defining impact of this moment.
The Better 30 Day Song Challenge for Facebook (A Variation)
There is a Facebook Community (sort of like a wiki on Facebook after enough people are part of it) called the 30 Day Song Challenge, with over a million users who “Like” it! The idea is that you share a song of certain meaning to you each day on your Facebook profile. It’s a great idea, this song a day sharing thing. I’ve created a few myself earlier this year without knowing about this concept, with the 28 great love songs in February and Top 10 Bob Dylan songs leading to his 70th birthday in May 2011. Both were intended to be theme focused, though, unlike this meme that is more about variety.
However, despite being about variety, the 30 themes for the Facebook 30 Day Song Challenge were a bit too similar, repetitive, anti-climatic and dated for my liking, and also not universal enough:
