Facebook has been rolling out its new Timeline profile. At what should be the top of this profile is a really widely proportioned photo (850 x 315 pixels) that could be, in Facebook’s words: “a unique image that represents you best. It’s the first thing people see when they visit your timeline”. Unfortunately, the way Facebook displays this image, a good portion of it is chopped off, and there is no good reason for it.
Facebook Needs a Translate Button on Content Not in your Default Language
Do you have a Facebook friend who regularly posts in a language you don’t know well, if at all? A lot of people do, given the global nature of social media. But how do you, or would you, deal with this? Chances are, it’s not a convenient way. Facebook needs a way to make this more convenient and here are a few suggestions.
My Starships Start Here Contributions
In 2011, Nova Scotia had a campaign called Ships Start Here to rally the province around trying to get a $25 billion navy shipbuilding contract… which we did!
During this time, Andrew Burke came up with a cool parody campaign called Starships Start Here, where starships, space ships, science-fiction characters and the like, would be featured in Nova Scotian scenery. I found out a bit late, to be honest, but when I did, I made a bunch of contributions to it. The pics below are my contributions which have been released so far. Transformers War for Cybertron Wallpapers (1920 x 1200 pixels)
I have Transformers wallpapers on this site for G1 Transformers and movie Transformers, but here comes the War for Cybertron video game Transformers wallpapers! These wallpapers are 1920 x 1200 pixels in size, but they are also good for 1680 x 1050, 1440 x 900, 1280 x 800 and 960 x 600 pixel monitors. Other sizes are already created (below) or to come.
