I love Coke! As a guy who doesn’t drink alcohol or coffee, it servers the same role as alcohol and coffee serve in most people’s lives, though I don’t drink more than a can a day, on average. I just take it much more moderately on each occasion than people generally take any of those other fluids. I also love cosplaying (being in costume) and photographing cosplayers. That’s when I got the idea of putting all those loves of mine into a photo that could be a meme marketing campaign.
My Pink Star Trek Uniform for the Halifax Pride Parade 2012
Recently, I was privileged to be able to participate in the Halifax Natal Day Parade. I was with a float representing Hal-Con, Halifax’s sci-fi,fantasy & gaming convention run completely by much-too-dedicated volunteers. We had a truck and a whole bunch of people in cosplays of various style, including sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk, anime, board and video games, and some original characters. For the occasion, I made a pink “Pride in Star Trek” (The Next Generation) uniform, as shown below.
- Pride TNG Uniform
- Modeled Pride TNG uniform
- Walking in Pride Parade
- Real TNG uniform
Extended Trailer for Cloud Atlas Has Gotten Me Hooked!

Rush to Get That Clean Email Address You Always Wanted, at Microsoft’s New Outlook.com
As of July 31st, news is just spreading that Microsoft is reinventing hotmail (CNN). Basically, you can keep your hotmail if you’ve got one, but if you want a new account, it will have to be at live.com, or outlook.com. Better yet, you can integrate all your other hotmail, yahoo, gmail and several other types of accounts with this new one! Now, Live has been around for a while, but Outlook is pretty new, which means LOTS of awesome names are available! So if you’ve got a slightly awkward online email, like Superman13245, cause someone took Superman, and a whole bunch of other Superman + a number, go to Outlook.com now (logged out of your hotmail), and sign up for that clean email you’ve always wanted, to see if it is still available!
Why Facebook Needs a DISLIKE Button
If you use Facebook, you know there is a Like button you can click on to show you like, support, approve or think positively of it in some way. There is no Dislike button, probably to keep the social experience positive, among other reasons. However, this lack of a Dislike button isn’t serving the need on identifying true social public opinion on any matter that might be controversial. If all you ever saw were all the people who Liked something controversial, how would you ever know how many people might Dislike it like in a real poll?
