Hot Business Idea: Piñatas of Hosni Mubarak, Muammar Gaddafi and Other Hated Dictators

Does anybody currently make piñatas of hated dictators like Hosni Mubarak and Muammar al-Gaddafi?

Piñatas are brightly-colored decorations made from a cardboard shape covered with papier-mâché, in case you don’t know what one is. Inside are candies or little gifts which children can get by beating the piñata with a big stick until the piñata breaks open, usually while blind-folded. Each kid takes his/her turn until the piñatas is completely opened up and nothing remains inside.

It’s something I imagine a lot of people like to do to those dictators!

MyDealists – Self-interested Idealists or Greedy Idealists

I hate hypocrisy, and hate isn’t too strong a word here. To say something and do something else is just bad character, to pass yourself off as something you are not.

I hate hypocrisy more when it’s deliberate self-image manipulation, rather than accidental or not well thought out, just reactionary.

However, I hate hypocrisy most when someone is disguising their self-interest, with something clearly to be gained, as idealism for the nobility of the masses, a cause, or something for which they can put themselves on a pedestal. That’s like first degree murder compared to manslaughter or accidental injury.

What Will Happen to Hosni Mubarak Now?

Hosni Mubarak has resigned as dictator of Egypt. In the immediate moment after his resignation, nobody in Egypt is probably caring much for what happens to Hosni, but soon, they will, or will have to.

Are they going to let him get away with the $40-70 Billion dollars he made on them?

Are they going to let him get away with all the war crimes and crimes against humanity he committed?

Are they going to let him run off to some place where a few tens of billions of dollars to your name can buy you a few friends and a luxurious retirement?

Somehow, I doubt it. So what will the people do?

Hosni Mubarak Has More Wealth than Bill Gates, and Enough to Feed Egypt for 1-2 Years!

Egyptian Dictator Hosni Mubarak

The wealth of Hosni Mubarak has been estimated to be somewhere between $40-70 Billion! That’s Billions, not millions. (CBC, via MSNBC)

That’s an unbelievable number! I mean, I knew the guy wasn’t poor, but having that many billions???

Billions is a big of a difficult number to comprehend besides the actual number, so here is some context as to how much wealth that is.

Brett Favre, R.I.P. (Retire in Peace)

Aaron Rodgers was named Super Bowl XLV Most Valuable Player as he led his Green Bay Packers are world champions in 2011.

I hope this will put most of the Brett Favre comparisons and such to rest.

Brett never won a Super Bowl MVP, and took a lot longer to win a Super Bowl than Aaron did. Brett also did not win it on the road the way Aaron led his Packers to this one.

Sure, Aaron doesn’t have all of Brett’s records yet… the good and the bad ones, but this is a team sport, right?

One Super Bowl apiece. One Super Bowl MVP for Aaron and none for Brett. One much more epic journey than Brett’s.

Time to stop the comparison as Brett retires, quite timely as his heir apparent rose to the throne. If Brett’s smart, he won’t be coming back. I just hope he can cope with life without playing professional football. With every great climb to the top comes a descent. How one handles that is just as, if not more important, than the rise.

Good luck, Brett. May you retire in peace and thanks for the memories!
