It’s easy not to share power. Every power hungry person can do that when given some. Most have. But it’s real power when you can share it, knowing you’ve got enough control otherwise you don’t have to worry about what those other people with that power if they turn against you. However, if you share it with the right people, they’re likely to be loyal to you rather than turn on you. And that’s just more power, a great return on investment. But it takes a lot of confidence to do that! Otherwise, you’re just another insecure person in power’s grasp, doing irrational things that ultimately would hurt you more than help you. You don’t have it, it has you!
