It’s November, and Movember, the annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November conceived in 1999 by a group of Australian men from Adelaide, becoming charitable for men’s health issues since 2004.
While it’s obvious men would participate in this event, what I want to know is if there would be any women participating. I’m not trying to be insulting. Some women have very obvious moustaches, better than anything I can grow. It’s not like anybody would not have noticed the moustaches on some of these women if they didn’t attract attention to it. So why not put it to good use for once against all the negativity people associate with very visible facial hair on women?
I bet if a woman participated in Movember, she’d be able to get a lot more donations than most of her male counterparts. It takes a lot more guts for a woman to do this, and both guys and gals would be routing for her for stepping up to make the best of what is generally perceived to be a bad situation.
Anybody know of any takers?
