NAVA 58 Flag Conference Entry 3

ENTRY 3
NORTH AMERICAN VEXILLOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (NAVA) 58 CONFERENCE FLAG

In a common 2:3 ratio flag, to the fly side (east) of a blue band for the Mississippi River and fimbriation for white bluffs on the St. Paul side, in the 4:5 ratio space remaining, the trapezoid & shield from the St. Paul’s flag were converted to a golden V with a blue triangle on top to resemble the NAVA flag. Within the bottom half of the V, the St. Paul’s wings & wheel charge was modernized to have a capitol star hub and airline wings in V configuration to add vexillology to its hub symbolism during NAVA 58, while the modern Minnesota flag’s North star shines in the blue at top.

St. Paul and Minnesota flags in 3rd and 4th parts of post, respectively, for reference. Congratulations to the winner, Patrick Barrett for the winning entry!
