The Walt Disney Co. recently bought Lucasfilms from George Lucas for $4.05 billion (Yahoo! as in the site of the article, not my reaction). Some people were thrilled since they’ve been lambasting George Lucas for everything he’s done post the original Star Wars Trilogy. Others thought there was a great disturbance in the force.

We’ll have to see how it’ll all turn out with time, but I can tell you the first good thing that has come of the transaction is the Disney-Star Wars mash-ups immediately found in the Twitterverse (#DisneyStarWars hash tag) and other places.

Super Bowl XLVI Commercial Previews

It’s becoming a trend for Super Bowl commercials to be released online before the Super Bowl, supposedly to “engage” fans rather than just entertaining them for a few moments during the game until the next great commercial comes along and you lose all your attention span. Star Wars and Wookies Facebook Picture Tagging Memes

I did not create these two Facebook picture tagging memes, but I did improve their quality and optimization for Facebook usage. I do not know from where they come so there is no source link. These memes involve Star Wars themes, though are a bit wacky in their own ways. The Star Wars characters are midget caricatures of the characters, whereas the Wookies one is just weird. But chacun son goût!
