Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon Wallpapers (1280 x 960 pixels)

There haven’t been a lot of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon graphics yet available to make wallpapers, especially all the other characters besides Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Shockwave. However, here’s what I’ve been able to find and enhance for wallpapers (as well as remove annoying corporate logos). When I get more, I will add to the collection.

Why Chinese Mothers are NOT Superior (aka Why Chinese Fathers are Not Needed)

Yale Law Professor Amy Chua recently released a memoir called Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Talk about cheesy titles. Essentially, it was about the so-called “Chinese” method of raising children that was very strict, and why it was superior, as her Wall Street Journal essay (Why Chinese Mothers are Superior, Amy Chua in WSJ, Jan 8 2011).

Essentially, it’s how one clever woman is playing the race card in on offense, in a sly way to keep tension from building while generating debate and getting her lots of money and attention. This book would be nothing but for the hype generated by these racial insinuations.

If you want the details on the no sleepover, no dates, trashing your children, threatening to burn your children’s toys, forcing them to take either piano or violin and not settling for As in school, you can read the WSJ link above or the multitude of other related articles like this one from Canada’s Globe & Mail (Why Chinese Parenting is Best, G&M Jan 11 2011).

Note again the racial insinuation in the title.

That’s because its supposed “self-deprecating” nature that was in good jest, according to Amy, is all hear say and not backed up by anything but her opinion. She is presenting an argument on what isn’t “visible”, concentrating on what is, which is the successful products of the method. But how many have been failed by the method and had their lives ruined, and who will never be known?

Does the Transformers DVD Have Graphics Like These 2560 x 1600 Pixel Wallpapers?

No, but that’s why I have them! These are also available in my 1920 x 1200 pixels size collection (down-sized from these originals, not the other way around).

I know a lot of these wallpapers aren’t ideal because they are on white backgrounds instead of something darker or fancier, but I did it for a few reasons.

You can view the Transformers in more detail than in most other places you would have seen them.
You can easily crop out what you want for your own art work or design!

If you want to put these Transformers on black or other backgrounds, you go for it. It takes me too long to do it clean and well, as I had tried with Devastator. I thought it was the easiest to do given it doesn’t have all the light greys similar to the other Transformers, blending in with the pure white background. It still took me a while, with the many “holes” in the complex robot being tedious to fill with quality so the edges weren’t rough.

Come back in November and I’ll have some more added which will just have robots without names and insignia.

Other size wallpapers can be found at the links below. The smaller sizes have many more options as big files can always be converted to smaller ones, but smaller ones can’t be made into much bigger ones than their original sizes.
