In thinking about content for this blog, there’s a lot I don’t think I can either write 500 words about, which is my warm-up minimum word limit for these blog posts, or do the research to get that much, by which time I would feel I need 5000 words to cover the topic. So what I’ve decided is that I would collect these into posts until I get 500 words and post them. If nothing else, they will serve as a repository for me for potential future posts. Hopefully, they will be enjoyable, if not thought-provoking, for you.
Well, I was way too conservative in my predictions for when the US COVID-19 case totals would surpass China’s. That’s according to the excellent (American) Johns Hopkins University interactive website!
I wasn’t sure of the American’s testing capacity, but that didn’t seem to matter much because they are confirming cases at a very high rate compared to many other jurisdictions. That is, the US hasn’t even gotten around to the most of the potential cases yet!
Wow! America is in some serious trouble, but I’m not sure they really have a grasp of it yet, on the whole and on the top among those making the biggest decisions. You’re gonna really need God to bless you to get through this relatively unscathed, America. I’ll even pray for you!
Next target, beat all of Europe, for not just a “win” but a “trouncing”. America loves being #1 at everything, after all, doesn’t it?
May the Force be with you!
Have you ever wondered how Santa knows you when you’re sleeping? How he knows when you’re awake? And how he knows when you’ve been good or bad?
Well, you might think you know! However, it’s not likely you really knew if what American traitor Edward Snowden says is true!
I owe this post to a pro-gun friend who debated me on more gun control. His arguments and stats used, including the graph below, led me to do the degree of research I did to counter, which I used here. I didn’t convince him, which I didn’t expect to, but you can judge for yourself from what I present following. I thought it might be valuable for people to understand the flaws in many anti-gun control, if not pro-gun, arguments presented, coming from someone who does analysis of all sorts for a living.
I was shown the graph below with data showing why tighter gun control was not the solution to America’s gun problem with gun related deaths and incidents. What I, as a professional analyst, saw, instead, was the very reasons why America needs tighter gun control. I will also counter a bunch of other points brought up by gun lobbyists that doesn’t involve data, because it isn’t just about the data, of course. But let’s first look at one graph with lots of data.
Below are 77 Star Trek Facebook Timeline Cover Photos. They were made from my collection of Star Trek wallpapers for various monitor sizes, mostly involving star ships rather than characters. Not all those wallpapers were suitable for the elongated Facebook Timeline Cover photo format so only some are here, but most of them worked. These are 1700 x 630 pixels, or twice as long and wide as Facebook says is necessary, in order to make sure they display well on widescreen monitors. To get the graphics for your use: Continue reading
