Technology is supposed to make things smaller and better, often also cheaper. However, that has been anything but with the so-called “smart” phone. It’s gotten bigger with bigger screens, and now is looking at folding screens to make it thicker. It’s gotten heavier and more bulky to carry around. Most of the new features are more addictive than helpful like with apps and social media. And we’re paying more and more for it? What kind of rational product development is this? But I shouldn’t criticize unless I had a better solution, right? Well, allow me to imagine one.

Below are 77 Star Trek Facebook Timeline Cover Photos. They were made from my collection of Star Trek wallpapers for various monitor sizes, mostly involving star ships rather than characters. Not all those wallpapers were suitable for the elongated Facebook Timeline Cover photo format so only some are here, but most of them worked. These are 1700 x 630 pixels, or twice as long and wide as Facebook says is necessary, in order to make sure they display well on widescreen monitors. There haven’t been a lot of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon graphics yet available to make wallpapers, especially all the other characters besides Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Shockwave. However, here’s what I’ve been able to find and enhance for wallpapers (as well as remove annoying corporate logos). When I get more, I will add to the collection.
