A Boston Dynamics Robot Dog

I ran my 35 and final marathon in Lyon in October, 2023. While at the fitness fair waiting to get my race package, one thing I definitely did not expect to see was a robot dog by Boston Dynamics. I had heard lots about the company, and seen videos of their robots that amazed me. However, seeing this robot dog was still an experience on its own, even though the dog didn’t exactly do much. AI and the robots are coming. Are you ready?

I am, cause I made friends with it and other AI and such, in hopes they’ll kill me last as their friends lol. But maybe they’ll kill me first for my silliness. 😉

First Night with Cozmo Robot from Anki

cozmoI live in Canada, where the Cozmo robot from Anki is not sold so two weeks after it came out, I finally got it in the mail. The videos below illustrate a few of the fun times I had with Cozmo. This is not meant to be a review, or showcase and such. Just me having fun with my robot that I’ll eventually learn to program! But you’ve got to put in the playing time and unlock some skills and such with Cozmo first. 🙂

Happy Hallowe’en, by the way! It might be Hallowe’en, but I’m celebrating Christmas with this robot I’ve waited for a while to get being an early investor but getting it late being in Canada via family in the US! This will be the last robot I’ll be able to get this year from lack of robots I can get out there that I think is worth the value for my money. But here’s to 2017 and a year full of leaps in the advancement of AI robots, including consumer level ones! 🙂

Meet K8, my AI Robot Dog and First Member of AIRO

K8 (Kate), is a dog robot that is the first member of AIRO (my Artificial Intelligence Robots Order). It was named K8 because it is a K-9 robot. Get it? 🙂

K8’s number in AIRO is 8, not surprisingly.
