Obama’s Barackets Had a Bad Day 4, But Still Doing “Well”

Day 4 saw President Obama’s ESPN March Madness 2014 Barackets fall from a percentile in the 90s to 73.7 as ranked teams fell. That said, it’s only a matter of a game or two’s difference that made the fall seem a lot bigger than it actually was.

My ESPN Brackets

President Obama’s Barackets

My Brackets ended up in a tie with the POTUS after Day 4 by not having as bad a day as Obama’s Barackets. However, it’s all going to come down to who picked the eventual winner to decide this, given how much that is worth. I went with overall #1 ranked Florida, while Obama went with sentimental favourite Michigan State. I have an edge in the meanwhile with only 2 Elite 8 teams eliminated to Obama’s three, but that may only resolve things if neither Florida nor Michigan State wins.

Breather for now. Getting back to quotes and fashion posts for a few days. 🙂

Obama’s Barackets Walloping the Rest After Day 1

It’s only Day 1, but the President’s Barackets is ahead of 98.2% of entries in ESPN’s March Madness Tournament Challenge! President Obama only got two games wrong, though one was Ohio State that he also picked to on to the Sweet 16 so he won’t be getting that game right. He picked some sweet upsets, though, like North Dakota State over Oklahoma that was the first true upset of this tournament given the other “upsets” were teams known to have fairly competitive squads. Someone said North Dakota State was the “best team nobody knows about”, and they at least proved that in one game. We’ll see how well they do the rest of the way.

The POTUS is beating me for now, but for now is the key part of that phrase. I am a mere one game behind, but still ahead of 90.4% of the entries. I also have one team picked to go to the Sweet 16 that’s not going, Oklahoma. Obama has been analyzed to pick well in the first round, especially for upsets, but a little more suspect in the latter rounds, though not that suspect given he usually does pretty well to still beat the majority of entries.

Bring on Day 2!

Ready to Beat Obama’s Barackets Once Again

March Madness is once again upon us, and I am playing like millions of North Americans. Ever since President Barack Obama has been in office for the tournament, he has submitted what’s been known as the Barackets on ESPN. Of course, I took up the challenge to go against da Prez and have beaten him 4 out of 5 years. It’s all on this blog, with too many posts to link to. This year, I will once again go against da Prez and track it here.

President Obama’s Barackets

Do you have your brackets ready and do you think you can beat The POTUS if so? He beat almost 75% of all brackets on ESPN last year, and something like over 90% in 2009, if memory serves, when he correctly picked North Carolina to win it all. He went with Michigan State this year. I went with Florida. Both coaches have won it all so they know how. Teams are both great. Florida’s been together longer.

Good luck and game on!

President Obama’s Bad Suit or More Junk in His Trunk?

As I’ve gotten more into making my own clothes and achieving good fit, I’ve also become a lot more aware of bad fitting clothing on other people. Most of this is on people around me, but some also on television since not everybody there is well groomed with the greatest wardrobe. That said, I never thought I’d be commenting on President Barack Obama’s wardrobe.

Obama’s Barackets Finished Ahead of 73.8% of ESPN Brackets

Congratulations to the Louisville Cardinals for winning the March Madness Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament in 2013. For the tournament, I have been updating the performance of President Barack Obama’s Barackets (link at end) among over 8 million ESPN entries. With the tournament now over, I can report a final placing for the President at better than 73.8% of all brackets entered. However, once again, I beat the President, finishing ahead of 90.0% of those same bracket set.
