Dépaysement

[ pronounced dePAZEmon ]

French for a feeling of giddiness you feel in an unfamiliar place, even if a bit unsettling where your excitement for being there overcomes it.

You’d need a strong sense of curiosity about this one, cause the natural feeling towards many unfamiliar places is fear or hesitation or trepidation of some sort.

French word to describe a feeling of strange excitement from destruction, especially minor acts of chaos caused by you out of mischief rather than anything destructive, big or small, caused by others.

I’m no health nut, but I do little things here and there to help my diet be better than it could be. One little thing I’ve recently done is to get my French fries without salt. I ask for it all the time, whether or not there is salt with the fries I get, just to be sure I get fries without salt.
