Create Your Unique Personalized Wall Paper Screen Saver From Wallpapers (for PC)

Step1-2You can use this procedure to make a screen saver from any folder of photos (and all of its subfolders), but I am suggesting you use it for a set of your favourite wallpapers. Not only do they fit better, but I also often find it too hard to just pick one wallpaper among any set of them to use as a background. I want to have several, but, of course, you can only have one wallpaper at a time. A screen saver of wallpapers, then, is the next best thing.

It’s all very easy. Just download a whole bunch of wallpapers of your monitor size, like some from my Transformers wallpapers collection, and put them in a folder. You can add more as you find more, and remove any as you please, keeping the contents of your screen saver as fresh as you like.

Then do the following (or something similar for various Windows operating systems):

  1. Click on Start at the bottom left corner.
    .
  2. Click on Control Panel in the pop-up window. (black areas are not black on your computer)
    .
    Step 3
    .
  3. In the Control Panel window, choose Display.
    .
    .
    .

    Step 4-6
    .
  4. In the Display Properties window, click on the Screen Saver tab.
    .
  5. Choose My Pictures Slideshow among the choices of screen savers in the middle of the window.
    .
  6. Click on Settings to identify your folder of wall papers.
    .
    .
  7. Step 5-6
    .

  8. Click on the Browse button and navigate to choose your folder with your wallpapers in it. The screen saver chosen will use all pictures in that folder as well as subfolders so don’t keep any other folders of pictures in there you don’t want to use as part of your slide show.
    .
  9. I would recommend you choose the picture size to be 100%.
    .
  10. Transition effects are nice and it would be nice to scroll through the pictures if you ever need to show someone one of them.
    .
  11. Click OK once you are happy with your choices.
    .
    .
  12. Back in the Display Properties window, click Preview to have a look. Don’t move your mouse or touch any keyboard strokes until you want to exit from the preview.
    .
  13. Adjust any other features you like before clicking OK to exit.
