The Strava platform has a definite cheating problem. Not definitely got a cheating problem. They got a definite cheating problem that is unquestionably possible to prove. People are able to complete their segments at record speeds not even possible in a car to get top place in those standings. They are able to traverse distances or elevations not even possible in machines accessible to the normal person to top the standings in monthly challenges. Some of this is unintentional, due to fitness device GPS confusion, but a lot of it is not. Data just don’t, and definitely can’t, match up like with lower than even regular cadence in running point to point distances, resulting in multiple blocks per stride.

What to Call Patriots’ Latest Scandal Involving Videos AND Balls?
First it was video of others in the act in Spy-gate and Head Coach Bill Bellichick.
Then it was deflating balls in Deflategate with quarterback Tom Brady.
Now, it’s video of people in the act AND deflating of balls with owner Robert Kraft!
Would Sex with a Robot Be Infidelity?
As I venture more into artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, I will encounter a lot of issues for which there are no clear or right answers. As I learn about them, I will also think about them to formulate an opinion on each issue to form a more complete perspective of it all. I will form an opinion, even if the opinion were it doesn’t matter to me… or at least not yet.
A week ago, I came across an excellent article in the Culture section of the BBC website called Would Sex with a Robot Be Infidelity? Here is my perspective after reading it and some other articles.
No Kraft Products for This Guy Till Patriots are No Longer Super Bowl Champs
You know how people boycott corporations cause they don’t approve of what that corporation does? Well, I don’t approve of the Patriots’ cheating. They didn’t win big after Spygate until now, but not at the cost of another scandal with Deflategate.
What’s the Vegas Odds the Patriots Will Cheat for Super Bowl XLIX?
The Super Bowl is the biggest betting day of the year. There are bets and odds available for just about everything, including some really ridiculous things!
Given that premise, I want to know the odds being offered for something far less ridiculous, which is the New England Patriots cheating. Seriously, they are serial cheaters. When they get caught, it’s not for an instance, but a long running scheme they had been running to the point of getting caught. They know the NFL marketing machine well that big penalties aren’t going to be handed out so that the crime is well worth the risks. No wins forfeited. No Super Bowl trips retracted. But also no big prizes if they don’t cheat either cause have they won any Super Bowls since Spy Gate?
So yes, very seriously, what’s the Vegas line for the Patriots cheating this Super Bowl XLIX???
I’d bet on more than even. Question is will the Pats get caught, not would they do it. 🙂
