Seriously, give it a try before you laugh at it. A banana sandwich is the freshest banana bread you can make, and the easiest, too!
But if you were worried about being mocked for such crude cuisine, try the deluxe craftsman version below. đ

Macro shots of individual characters with a pen nib each follow below.
I had some scrap fabrics left from a short sleeve set of pajamas I just realized I’ve never blogged. Anyway, it was an “unofficial” Avengers print. Bunch of Marvel superheroes that were on the Avengers at some point. Doesn’t say much, I suppose. Just about every Marvel superhero has been on the Avengers, it seems.
With scraps and separate characters, an idea came to mind to make a toque since those have small pieces so each one could display a character! I used a McCall pattern but it was terrible for fit so I won’t bother mentioning it here. What it did mean, though, was that I gave it to my cousin’s little boy as it barely fit me but didn’t cover my ears fully and was not completely functional as a result.
The finished product is shown below in photo and video that was fun to improvise, but isn’t as clear as the photos. Brought out the geek in me. đ
I just got back from a fantastic vacation in Nawlins (New Orleans) where I spent 2 weeks with my Parents in their life to see what their life was like there, not zipping around, doing crazy things and such Nawlins is infamous for. Of course, I did a little fabric shopping while there. Being a bit out in the suburbs, I wasn’t close to a lot of fabric stores except Hancock Fabrics and the fabric sections in several Wal-mart stores. Yet, this was great because they had what I was looking for, which was a lot of licenced “geek” themed fabrics at affordable prices not found in Canada… or at least in Halifax where I live. As a result of all that, my fabric shopping haul this time probably won’t interest too many of my lady friends in the Atlantic Sewing Guild. Click to enlarge the thumbnails below to see in more detail. Please note I took pics of some out below a meshed patio cover so that there are shadows in the pictures. Those dark lines are not part of the print!
This is just as good as the movie in a different way! đ
