CNN just projected Barack Obama has been re-elected President of the USA in 2012 as I write this! Woohoo!!!

Do Geeks and Nerds Prefer Obama or Romney? Poll

There are all kinds of polls for the US election, covering all kinds of demographics. However, I’ve yet to see one for geeks and nerds, as well as dorks and dweebs. Before you chastise me, though, yes, I know the difference between the four.

However, for this post’s sake, and relate to the rest of the public, let’s just all be happy together as geeks and nerds, shall we?

Geeks and nerds may not be taken seriously in life, but as a demographic, they make up about 16% or 1 in 6 of the American population! That’s bigger than a LOT of demographics surveyed out there! Geeks and nerds are definitely a SERIOUS demographic!

So without a poll for this demographic, let me ask all the self-labeled geeks and nerds (and dweebs) out there, who do you prefer for President of the United States? Please vote in the poll below, and share with your geek and nerd friends!

I Prepared for Doomsdaylight Savings Time by Joining Pinterest

After about a half a year’s resistance, I finally joined Pinterest to cut down my clutter and increase my “mobility” to be able to have more “things” at my disposal from more places and to share with more people. This was my answer to what I call Doomsdaylight Savings Time, when we turned back our clocks and get out of work almost in the dark. I don’t do much in the morning aside from getting up and going to work indoors, so my effective daylight exposure is after work. But Doomsdaylight Savings Time removes much of that, including runs in daylight, so I brainstormed for myself something to get excited over to counteract that, and that was Pinterest. Hey, if I’m going to be spending time indoors in the dark, might as well get excited over it!

Share a Disney Star Wars Mash-up

Darth Mickey

The Walt Disney Co. recently bought Lucasfilms from George Lucas for $4.05 billion (Yahoo! as in the site of the article, not my reaction). Some people were thrilled since they’ve been lambasting George Lucas for everything he’s done post the original Star Wars Trilogy. Others thought there was a great disturbance in the force.

We’ll have to see how it’ll all turn out with time, but I can tell you the first good thing that has come of the transaction is the Disney-Star Wars mash-ups immediately found in the Twitterverse (#DisneyStarWars hash tag) and other places.

Some of the best ones I’ve seen are below, but I want to hear more so if you’ve heard of others, or came up with one of your own, please do share by leaving a comment! Continue reading

What’s Your Favorite Gangnam Style Video?

OK. Gangnam style video links have taken over my Facebook world. Everybody seems to be sharing one, and there are all kinds! Many are really bad, though all are bad if you really can’t stand the song like some people I know.

I’m sure I haven’t seen them all, so to make up for all the bad ones I’ve seen, I’m hoping some of you will share with me your favorite Gangnam Style videos. I’ll trust you have good taste. 😉

Just paste a link in the comments section below. Thanks!

Meanwhile, here are a few I’ve seen of late which I liked.
