Make Students Earn Loan Forgiveness, Not Just Give It to Them!

Recently the province of Newfoundland decided to abandon student loans and just give away grants. Now, other provinces, including my own of Nova Scotia, are being called upon by students and others to do the same. I say BS to that and propose a far better idea.

Why don’t we make the students earn it?

Who Will Be First to 3D Print Pluto at Scale?

NASA has just released some amazing high resolution files of Pluto.

The resolution is more than good enough to create a 3D print of the planet, at something like a room sized scale, and maintain all of the details captured, in my opinion. If done smaller, you’ll even lose some details! That is, the information might be finer than the 3D printing technology that is currently available!

So the only thing remaining for me to ask is who will be the first?

I think that would be quite something to see, Pluto in 3D compared to just a speck of light we knew of its appearance only a short prior to whenever they get enough information to print the 3D model!

Modern Tennis Racquets Painted Like Wood?

I play tennis and I had a thought this morning. Modern racquets are a nice glimpse of successes of material science. Everything from the strings to frame to grip. They’re also painted to look advanced and “cool” as well. But there’s plenty of it out there, and a lot border on ghastliness!

Why doesn’t someone make a modern racquet and paint it as if it were wooden?

It’s far from being as widely accepted as it needs to be, but what next, be that now, soon or some time yet still down the road? As far as I’m concerned, we can move now. There is another group not yet even identified, but only needs to be given a name. They are what I’ll call transracial or those deem themselves to be “born” of the wrong race.

Yeah, you just scoff at it like most people used to scoff at transgender. Make all your excuses why such a thing doesn’t exist. But I’ll tell you one thing, on a practical level, it’s far more common than transgender will ever be!

Try This Prank If You’re Not Caucasian

I come up with a lot of interesting ideas out of nowhere, it seems, when I run for distance running training. This was something I came up with today. It’s a practical joke idea that could be funny, but also a bit discomforting in a symbolic sort of way given race relations the way they are these days. It doesn’t make fun of people’s skin colour, but gets people thinking about it. It could work for Caucasian people as well, but probably not nearly as effectively.
