PTSD = Post-Trump Stress Syndrome

There’s a lot of bad stuff happening in the US. Not sure if they have a new President they don’t like or something, I don’t know. I keep seeing this Trump guy people are losing their crap over.

I’ll tell you one thing, though. If these people keep flipping out like this all the time for a year, or maybe two, when it all ends, I don’t think they’ll be able to just turn it off. They’re going to need therapy and treatment for all the stress they’re going to put themselves under. They’re also going to need a term for this, so may I suggest

PTSD orΒ Post-Trump Stress Syndrome

Describes it about right to me. πŸ™‚

I’m just going to lie back and stay above it all in Ca-na Land. πŸ™‚

Challenge to Delete an Old Facebook Friend for a New One

facebook-friends-deleteLike most people on Facebook, I have more Facebook friends than are really “friends”, even in the loosest sense of the word to mean a passing acquaintance. 2017 Dodecalendar Printout Pattern

rhombic-dodecahedronA few nights ago, I made one of the more interesting calendars you’ll find for 2017. It was put on a 12 sided rhombic dodecahedron, and thus called a dodecalendar. The idea was not mine. I saw someone carve one out of wood. I don’t have a wood working shop, nor have the skills, to do the same thing. However, I had the skills to create the same design on paper, so I did, and I thought I’d share it with anyone interested or who might care to try themselves.

Rhombic Dodecahedron Pattern for a Craft Challenge

rhombic-dodecahedronI just made a rhombic dodecahedron calendar for 2017 on Bristol board last night, otherwise known as a dodecalendar. It’s shown in the photo at right and spinning in the video below. I made it from scratch, meaning I made the files to print out the sides and assembled, fitting two sides on a letter sized sheet. I will compact the files into one PDF tomorrow and share, but in the meanwhile, I thought people who were interested might want to make rhombic dodecahedrons of whatever. Perhaps a die. Perhaps art on each side. Perhaps something personal for them.

Daily 5 Minute Retrospective Routine at Night

Happy New Year!

Last year, before I went to sleep each night, I took a few minutes to ask myselfΒ what was my memory of the day?Β and get myself an answer for it. Some days, it was quick. Other days, it was not. Most days it was good. Some days, it was not. It was generally a very nice daily retrospective exercise each night, to appreciate each day, often with some gratefulness as well.

This year, I’m needing some more intensity in my life so I’m adding an additional question to that nightly retrospective routine to make it:
