Your 2013 Awards – A Social Media Note

Reflect on 2013 as if it were an awards ceremony. Below are some “awards” that you can grab as text, then fill in the answers in regular case text so the award names stand out in all caps. Do it as a note, series of tweets, or something to share. Leave out and add what you want to customize to illustrate and share what you want of your 2013 year in review. I guarantee you it’ll be far more interesting than anything Facebook or any other site would come up with for your Year in Review summary!

Leave your note as a draft if you need more than one sitting to fill it all in. It could be a lot of thinking for some people to get some of these answers!

The DRAPERY Dress Shirt (Draft)

Still being finicky to tweak my dress shirt pattern for the ideal fit and look I want, I am not sure at which point I would have that ideal final pattern. Any given dress shirt draft could end up being the one, and it would be a waste of time to throw out because I had made it from crappy fabric in my stash. But at the same time, I didn’t want to dig much into my good stash, with most of it having been bought in New York or Los Angeles because interesting fabric I’d wear is really hard to come by in Halifax. As a result, I produced this aptly named dress shirt where I used old curtains I had while living in Vancouver in the late 1990s!

Facebook Share Your Top 10 Dylan Songs Leading to Bob’s Birthday on May 24th

Bob Dylan

May 24th 2011 will be the 70th birthday of legendary music icon Bob Dylan, and Rolling Stone magazine has an incredible tribute to him. They had lots of famous musicians share their favourite Dylan songs as one feature, among lots of other great features. From this, I got the idea for people to pay their own tribute to Bob while sharing with others your love for Bob and his music using social media.

I Am Not Average: A Facebook Note Idea

The object of this Facebook note is to identify ways which you know, or feel pretty sure, you are NOT average. It sounds like it might be for “misfits” or “pompous” people, but hey, everybody is “not average” in a lot of ways. Try it! I think you’ll love it! I don’t think you’ll have to encourage some friends to try it themselves, either, after they see it! There’s something about not being average that breeds competition. They’ll be “stealing” it, in Facebook-speak, from you as soon as they can find enough time to think about doing it for themselves!

Tag Your Top 10 Best Looking Facebook Friends

This is a new type of Facebook tagging that can really get you into trouble, if you dare to use it!

That’s because you have to decide which of your Facebook friends are the best looking, and tell everyone else about it in tagging them! Those who make your list will love you for it! Those who don’t, definitely won’t! This will be especially true if they think they are better looking than someone else on your list. How they react will vary, but you’ll have to live with the consequences. 🙂

Can you handle the stress and pressure? If so, let’s get going!

You can either do this outright, males and females in the mix, or you can do it with males competing against each other, and same with females. Don’t think of it as being sexist, but rather that you can reward 20 people instead of 10, and bruise 10 fewer egos. 🙂

If you do it with males and females separately, pick the memes called Guy Edition and Girl Edition, respectively. If you mix males and females, you’ll have to make your Top 10 list first. Then see how many females are in the mix and choose the meme with the same number of females.
