This was too awesome not to share. The Mantis Shrimp comic from the Oatmeal. It’s all real, though!

At least online, Wikipedia has even more information. Looks like they took a lot of it off Wikipedia, which I’m sure came from elsewhere. But it’s the most stunning animal description I’ve heard in a long, long time! In fact, I’m not sure I’ve heard of a more impressive one!

That doesn’t make it my favourite animal, though, unlike the author of the Oatmeal comic above. I tend to like the lovable kind. 🙂
