These posts are for music I first heard in 2014 which I love and want to share. This one is just super! Great story, great groove, great tune to sing to. I don’t know why it’s not more popular and frequently played! Great video, too!

I just LOVE it! I can even shadow box dance to it, lol!

There are other videos with just the music, and not video and audio clips of Ali but not as fun, in my opinion. That’s the stuff that inspired this song!

The GRID Dress Shirt

I’ve been on a new quest to draft and make a proper fitting dress shirt for myself. I’ve also been sewing less as resolved for 2014, with some time off allowed for myself at the end of 2013 and early 2014 to set up some other resolutions. That’s why I haven’t finished any new garments until now.

What’s Your Favorite Gangnam Style Video?

OK. Gangnam style video links have taken over my Facebook world. Everybody seems to be sharing one, and there are all kinds! Many are really bad, though all are bad if you really can’t stand the song like some people I know.

I’m sure I haven’t seen them all, so to make up for all the bad ones I’ve seen, I’m hoping some of you will share with me your favorite Gangnam Style videos. I’ll trust you have good taste. 😉

The Better 30 Day Song Challenge for Facebook (A Variation)

There is a Facebook Community (sort of like a wiki on Facebook after enough people are part of it) called the 30 Day Song Challenge, with over a million users who “Like” it! The idea is that you share a song of certain meaning to you each day on your Facebook profile. It’s a great idea, this song a day sharing thing. I’ve created a few myself earlier this year without knowing about this concept, with the 28 great love songs in February and Top 10 Bob Dylan songs leading to his 70th birthday in May 2011. Both were intended to be theme focused, though, unlike this meme that is more about variety.

However, despite being about variety, the 30 themes for the Facebook 30 Day Song Challenge were a bit too similar, repetitive, anti-climatic and dated for my liking, and also not universal enough:
