Best Thing About Baltimore Ravens Being Super Bowl Champs is They Ain’t Got No Fan Base to Brag About It!

So, the Baltimore Ravens have won the Super Bowl. I can’t say I care that much about them. They’re the most boring play-off team, or top tier contenders, to me. So what’s good in any of this?

There ain’t gonna be nobody to brag about their team being Super Bowl champs this off season and next year!

Unlike the Patriots, Packers, Niners, Giants, Steelers, and a handful of other franchises that have continent wide fan bases all over, the Ravens don’t. So that means I won’t have to run into friends and strangers talking football who will be trash-talking their team being Super Bowl champs all year! And I highly doubt they’ll be gaining too many new fans, either.

After today, I will hear about the Ravens being Super Bowl champs nevermore! 🙂

Are You Impressed By Super Bowl Half Time Shows Any More?

Another year, another Super Bowl and another crappy Super Bowl half-time show.

I don’t know if there’s too much hype, or that our expectations had been weened in years past to expect a lot of half time shows, but I think whoever has been setting up these things have just been making crappy decisions for several years now.

For example, was there any singing at this year’s half time show? Sure, they hit a few notes, but there wasn’t a lot of it, and what was there was weak!

Somebody get me a good half time show one of these years, would ya? Or just can it and have something stupid. At least our expectations won’t be raised and failed miserably!

That was Beyonce bad! And more of a bust than previous years, even, pun intended!

Did They Really Need Jennifer Hudson With the Sandy Hook Elementary School Choir at the Super Bowl?

It was a beautiful moment seeing those kids sing America… until Jennifer Hudson got in front of them, screamed some notes, and took the focus away from them all.

Really. Who was this about?

Bad way to ruin a nice moment otherwise!

Ideas to Challenge Your Hockey Loving Friends to Hurt the NHL More

So, NHL hockey is supposedly on its way back. But will the fans come back? Eventually, most will, especially in Canada. However, the fans need to make their voice heard beyond some social media campaigns like Just Drop It. It’s gotten over 21,000 Likes, which sounds great, but is really nothing. That barely fills an NHL arena, and some 11,000 came within the first week anyway. We’ll have to see how many of those fans will really live up to their pledge.

So what can the fans do to show their displeasure over this whole strike mess? Naturally, staying away and refraining from spending money on NHL related activities and merchandise is the main way. Now, no one solution is going to fit everyone, so we’re going to need a range of options. To add more incentive, I suggest turning it into a challenge among your NHL loving friends, which will benefit you all in the meanwhile! Look at some of the options below and try one of the following: Continue reading

What’s Your Biggest Resolution for 2013?

Happy New Year, everyone!

It’s that time of year again, of course, for resolutions. The secret to making them happen tends to be gradual, habitual changes that you can sustain, or improve upon, over time, rather than drastic and dramatic changes. You should also have a plan to monitor progress. It’s more in the details than concept, essentially. So with that in mind, I want to know what is your biggest resolution for 2013, and how are you realistically planning to achieve this?

If this is news to you, well, just because it’s January 1st, 2nd or whatever, doesn’t mean it’s too late to reformulate. I’ve given my resolution below, and how I intend to achieve it, as an example to illustrate my points above.
