Ready to Beat Obama’s Barackets Once Again

March Madness is once again upon us, and I am playing like millions of North Americans. Ever since President Barack Obama has been in office for the tournament, he has submitted what’s been known as the Barackets on ESPN. Of course, I took up the challenge to go against da Prez and have beaten him 4 out of 5 years. It’s all on this blog, with too many posts to link to. This year, I will once again go against da Prez and track it here.

My ESPN Brackets

President Obama’s Barackets

Do you have your brackets ready and do you think you can beat The POTUS if so? He beat almost 75% of all brackets on ESPN last year, and something like over 90% in 2009, if memory serves, when he correctly picked North Carolina to win it all. He went with Michigan State this year. I went with Florida. Both coaches have won it all so they know how. Teams are both great. Florida’s been together longer.

Good luck and game on!

What If Employees Could Be Traded Like Athletes?

I’m watching the NHL trading deadline and decided I should finally write something about a thought I’ve had for decades.

What if employees could be traded like athletes?

Fashion Quotes for Attitude

I have been writing quotes for a few months now on this site, but I also love reading them for inspiration, or just attitude some times. As I start redesigning and sewing my work wardrobe this weekend, I got some fashion quotes that stirs a little designer attitude in me, but also just general attitude I’m going to have when I wear some of this stuff. More interesting non-work wardrobe will be coming, so I’ll need a little of that attitude for that, too.

None of my future wardrobe design is too crazy. Some would say it’s nothing crazy, for that matter. That’s fine, cause I’m not going for crazy. However, it will be different enough from the norm that it will get some questionable looks. The one day I wore my first piece, theΒ Tranquility dress shirt, I could see that already. What I wouldn’t have given to be a mind reader then!

Anyway, here comes the fashion quotes and attitudes! See if you can spot some of these coming out in my future designs! I’ll also eventually write some of my own fashion quotes. πŸ™‚

Gone to Participate in Ragnarok

Today (Feb 22 2014) is the Norse apocalypse, a great battle where a lot of its mythological figures die. Well, who am I to be staying home or doing mere errands when this is going on.

I just posted this post title for a Facebook status. πŸ™‚

The good thing is the world will be idyllic and beautiful after the battle… like when Canada will win Olympic Gold in men’s hockey to go with their women’s medals. πŸ™‚

Btw, do you think any Norsey looking folks would be offended if I wished them a Happy Ragnarok today? πŸ™‚

Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks and Fans on Super Bowl Win

Well, what can I say as a Broncos fan? We were beaten by a better team today. Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks and their fans on the Super Bowl win.

As for what I had asked before about believing in Destiny given that this were the year of the Horse, Destiny wasΒ not wrong. I just had interpreted incorrectly. Usually, in Western culture, symbols that flash up that coincide with something you believe in, usually means things are going to go your way. It seems, in Chinese astrology, those “born” or affiliated otherwise with the year of one’s birth or symbol, is slighted by it! It’s true! I’m not just making it up! Check this serious call on the Super Bowl according to Chinese Astrology!

β€œThey absolutely will not win,” Chinese New Year adviser to the City of Sydney, Lin Abbott, said.

“According to Chinese philosophy, those born with the same zodiac sign as the year’s designated animal are going to have a particularly difficult year”, the same article also says.

Well, all I have to say is that watching this Super Bowl was the most painful TV and sports experience I have ever had. However, in looking for the silver lining in everything, all I can say is that the rest of this year should be easy for all the challenges I have set up for myself.

Congratulations again, Seahawks fans. Enjoy your victory!

I will still wear my Denver Broncos fleece jacket and hat proudly everywhere, of course. You don’t shy away from showing support for your team when times go bad. That’s when they need you most. And I’ll just take all the taunts and such the way I should… like a man.

And I’ll stop making Chinese astrology calls. I know Tarot cards, not Chinese astrology… even if I am Asian and have a Chinese last name. πŸ™‚
