Tsu.co – Facebooking with Pay to You and Donations to Charity

Have you heard of a new, ethical social media site at TSU.CO? It’s a relatively new social media site that is like Facebook, except that it keeps 10% of ad revenue and gives the other 90% to its users based on traffic they generate!

That’s right. They not only give you ad revenue for your content which get viewed, but they give you the vast majority of that ad revenue!

This is NO joke! Not unless credible sources like the Huffington Post and Fast Company magazine are wrong with those linked articles and some already 4.5 million early adopters have been fooled. I highly recommend you read those linked articles to get a lot more information about the site rather than just read my quick summary. Facebook is worried about this little start-up that it has banned links to it, apparently, though saying Tsu violated its API conditions!

Then go get yourself an account, tell your friends and give it a try! It’s going to be slow going as if you don’t have many friends there already, as I don’t, it’s not going to be effective. However, that’s what happens when you’re an early adopter. Otherwise, wait till your friends have gotten a start and then give it a try. Same thing would have happened to Facebook, and is still happening to Google+.

Don’t do it for the money

While there is promise of pay for your social media content on Tsu, it isn’t going to be a lot of money unless you can get a ton of traffic! If you were able to generate that much traffic already on social media, you probably don’t need to use Tsu. No. If you try Tsu, do it for the love and values for which the site (and its creator/owner Sebastian Sobczak) stands.

For my part, I’m going to donate all the money I earn from Tsu to charity. Now, I’m no social media mogul. At this point, I don’t even have a friend on Tsu, lol. However, I’ll make that commitment right now. Maybe in a year I’ll have enough to make a donation. They have statistics and a bank account with analytics to show what you earn, which I can share as documentation. I’m fortunately enough I won’t need any revenue I might generate from Tsu so I’ll take this action to match the noble stand of the site owner.

Tsu needs a usercode for anyone to sign up. I’m not sure why this is but I’ll just provide you with one. What else would it be except

Gretzky’s Backing of Harper Leads Conservatives to 99 Seats!

How influential was Wayne Gretzky’s endorsement for Stephen Harper in Canada’s recent federal elections?

It was so influential that Harper’s Progressive Conservatives won 99 seats… Wayne Gretzky’s number uniformly retired by every team in the NHL!

Do you believe in omens?

The Conservatives strategists must have seen this coming, though. They knew they were going to get a butt kicking after all the shenanigans they had pulled in their decade of power. It was just a matter of where the votes were going to go elsewhere. So to help their case, they recruited the athlete who wore the highest number possible. I mean, it could have been worse. They could have gotten Sidney Crosby (87), Mario Lemieux (66) or a goalie wearing number 1 (like the Green Party might have done), to endorse them.

Whether true or not, though, it’s nice to see Stephen Harper rewards his backers well. Wayne doesn’t need any more money. A symbolic statement like winning his number of seats to affirm how much of an influence he had on the campaign, though, that’s priceless!

Justin Trudeau is Canada’s Next Prime Minister!

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation just made the call on election returns they saw that Justin Trudeau will be Canada’s next Prime Minister (23rd)!

Finally, Canada smartened up and got rid of “our George Bush”. Now, if only we could find our Barack Obama rather than somebody who sounds like a junior high school kid at a pep rally when giving speeches.

Honestly, I just hope he’s a good listener to be able to listen to good advisers he’ll have to rely on for policy advice.

Great Odds of Canadian Internet Breaking Tonight?

Welcome to election night in Canada! For a decade, Canada and the world has been putting up with the sad collective lack of intelligence of Canadians to have voted in Stephen Harper. It is Stephen with a ph, right? That’s how little I care about him. And I apologize on behalf of my fellow Canadians with the stupid vote all these years.

There is no doubt we want Harper out. It’s just a matter of having enough people vote for one party to put him out rather than leave him with the biggest minority.

No matter what happens, the Canadian Internet has a good chance of breaking tonight either with the euphoria of having Harper kicked out, or fury of having Harper staying where he is, no matter under what electoral conditions.

So my question is does the Canadian Internet have a better chance of breaking tonight if Harper gets kicked out, or back in?
