What Will They Rebuild at Notre Dame?

As you probably have heard by now, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris was partially badly destroyed in a fire. Some parts were saved, like the Towers. Others were not.

For the parts destroyed, what will they rebuild there?

Will they go old school and build a replica of what was there? It wouldn’t be authentic.

Will they build something new that probably wouldn’t go well with the old towers?

Will they build something still of the cathedral architecture scheme, just a tad more modern so as to avoid the authentic comparisons, but still maintain the gist of it?

Will they dare take the entire thing down and rebuild something new all together?

What will they rebuild at Notre Dame?

Woebot – a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Chatbot

There’s a relatively new app out there called Woebot (available for Android and Apple). It’s an artificial intelligence chatbot that delivers cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT, for anxiety, depression, among other things… and it’s impressive just for the AI experience alone! Also, if you want to have an idea of how engaging it is, listen from about the 9:30 mark in the podcast below. The podcast had to act it out in the role of the bartender because the chatbot is just text right now. Finally, maybe just download it and give it a try!

Questions for an Existential Interview for Painting

Over the next week, I will be conducting the first of what I will call an Existential Interview on someone’s painting. After some initial questions on the artist’s history and style, to get some grounding and direction, will come the existential questions, like why they paint, what meanings their paintings have, what legacy they hope to have with their art, etc.

A Charity That Uses ALL of your Donation for Its Cause

There’s a good reason why I don’t donate to most charities. I don’t approve of how they spend some, if not a good portion, of they money they receive for donations. Exorbitant salaries, luxurious overhead and trips, celebration parties among other parties, etc. You might call me judgmental for it, and I’d come back at you with You’re damn right, I am! And count yourself lucky if I don’t throw some expletives at you to adequately describe how I feel.
