Westville Wagon
DESCRIPTION
βIn a black and white Canadian pale where the interior edges of the black bands are rough like coal mine walls, a stylized mining wagon in blue brimming with black coal has a symmetric W for its body, where the wheels are attached to the bottom points of the W.β
REFERENCES
The Canadian pale is a popular design used by many Canadian municipal flags. Here, the bars are turned into coal mine walls with a rough interior for a distinctive look symbolic of the townβs mining past. Inside the mine shaft created from the black coal walls is a mining wagon with coal heaping over the top. The wagon is stylized in a trapezoid via a symmetric, capital W for Westville, where the wheels are attached to the bottom points of the W.
This is a personal project I have been doing for a year, not an effort by the municipality or its citizens.
