Scotia Ferry Town Logo
DESCRIPTION
“On a vertically divided background of 1/4 Town gold on the hoist and the rest being white, the Town logo rendering of the Scotia Ferry is centered in the white, while a white Mulgrave Star is centered horizontally, with the same gap from the top.”
REFERENCES
This design makes use of the Town colour scheme and logo if they would have to be used, as many Town Councils might prefer or demand. The design frames the artsy Scotia Ferry logo in a more interesting way than just a border, circle or oval. The bar also allows for a secondary symbol for the people that is the Mulgrave Star, fully described with text from the Finalist #1 flag in the previous post. The Mulgrave Star was created by the designer as Mulgrave’s only other strong symbol, the Scotia Ferry, is challenging to render in s simplified manner that is easily recognizable. The Mulgrave Star doubles as a plus sign for prosperity, to which the Town aspires, and a nod to the Mi’kmaq star that is a symbol of the Mi’kmaq people, but not a sacred symbol.
This is a personal project I have been doing for a year, not an effort by the municipality or its citizens.
