Cape Islander Painting

DESCRIPTION
“A red and white Cape Islander heads home in calm seas and blue skies.”

REFERENCES
The world renowned Cape Islander fishing boat design for fish and lobster originated in Clark’s Harbour so it is a symbol of the fishing town’s identity along with the fishing industry. Otherwise, it is a small fishing village of 700 with a quaintness like the painting design, though a strong identity of unity within, and independence without as seen in its coat of arms with a stylized Cape Islander and motto of Unity with Independence.

This is a personal project I have been doing for a year, not an effort by the municipality or its citizens.
