INVERNESS COUNTY, NS
Design B2
Logo in green wave
Alternative to Design B1. While the logo in blue made sense intuitively, with blue being associated with water, if the logo colours were to be blended with the field colours as much as possible, the wave feature in the field of Design B1 should be in green. That’s what I did here, with acknowledgement of pending how the sea is seen, it might also appear as green.
REFERENCE
Inverness County, Nova Scotia, is one of four counties on the island of Cape Breton. It has a population of about 17,000 in a land area of 3817 sq km (1474 sq miles). The county is known for its three main things. The first is its Scottish/Gaelic heritage, with some Acadian history in villages such as Cheticamp, and Irish influence. The second is its beautiful scenery of the Cape Breton highlands, often bordering the ocean with scenic cliffs, look offs, and drives. Finally, it has a strong musical scene and reputation of fiddling, Scottish, and Irish music and dancing. For these reasons, it was branded as “Canada’s musical coast”, with a logo to match.
