MAHONE BAY, NS
9A and 9B new Round 2 designs with realistically rendered churches (top) and triangular abstractions (bottom)
In response to a few comments who didn’t like any designs I had in round 1, as few as those comments were, I still tried to find new designs to see if they might like them better. These heraldic wavy designs feature the realistically rendered churches reminiscent of an older time, as well as their triangular abstractions that have a heraldic simplicity of its own. Of course, with the wavy bordering the top and bottom to represent water, there can be no reflection to the churches. As for that triangular abstraction logo, it does not have big support, and seems on its way out with a new logo development committee formed and recent contest with 60 submissions. We’ll see where this goes.
REFERENCE
Mahone Bay is a small town of about 1000 residents on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. It is a picturesque tourism destination, especially the iconic three churches along the waterfront of the bay itself, though there are five churches in the town! It has a historic boat/ship building heritage, with more transport and industrial ships in the past, and more pleasure crafts in the present, from all materials but especially wood historically. It is also a current haven for entrepreneurs and business startups growing its population.
