MAHONE BAY, NS
Round 1 Top choices
First picture – Designs 5A (top) & 2A (bottom)
Second picture – Designs 5B (top) & 1C (bottom)
All had slight modifications from feedback like more intense colours, blue not purple boat (Mahone Bay not artsy in that sense lol)
First two choices were heavily favoured over the next two. Otherwise, respondents definitely preferred realistic over stylized churches, though there was a notable number who liked the latter. Three churches were pretty much preferred, deeming the churches were iconic for their architecture in the landscape with reflections, rather than symbols of Christianity first. Lots of preferences for duo symbols of the schooner from their Heritage Boatyards and the churches, and not just the churches.
Designs from other feedback will be shown in following posts.
REFERENCE
Mahone Bay is a small town of about 1000 residents on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. It is a picturesque tourism destination, especially the iconic three churches along the waterfront of the bay itself, though there are five churches in the town! It has a historic boat/ship building heritage, with more transport and industrial ships in the past, and more pleasure crafts in the present, from all materials but especially wood historically. It is also a current haven for entrepreneurs and business startups growing its population.
