Spaced Out Churches
The iconic three churches in Mahone Bay are not butted up beside each other as the logo shows them to be, though I understand that is for practicality of design and I would have drawn the logo that way if I were doing it in that style as well. However, given the relatively wide 2:1 ratio of flags in Canada, an opportunity existed to space out the churches on the flag, so that’s what I did here compared to Design 1c. It creates a different feel to me that’s more like 3 gemstones rather than a saw blade in Design 1c.
Constructive criticisms welcomed. Thank you.
REFERENCE
Mahone Bay is a small town of about 1000 residents on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. It is a picturesque tourism destination, especially the iconic three churches along the waterfront of the bay itself, though there are five churches in the town! It has a historic boat/ship building heritage, with more transport and industrial ships in the past, and more pleasure crafts in the present, from all materials but especially wood historically. It is also a current haven for entrepreneurs and business startups growing its population.
