This second entry in 2014 for songs I heard for the first time that I like a lot isΒ Sha La La (Makes Me Happy) by Al Green.
Why do I like it? Just the groove it has, I would say. Appropriate with it being a 70s song from 1974. And that’s about it, to be honest. But it was groovy enough for me to add it to my list. π
One thing I’ll be better at blogging this year is music I hear for the first time, likely old songs, which I really like and want to share. I love it when I find new music I really enjoy, so it’s only natural to share. While the songs will often be old since I don’t care for a lot of music these days, it’s new to me.
This first entry for 2014 features Fleetwood Mac‘s Over and Over, written by Christine McVie. I just love its mellow nature that is also present in some of her other songs like As Long as You Follow (also embedded below). If what they say is true about being able to see people’s soul through their eyes, or hear it through their singing and songs, then I KNOW IΒ love Christine McVie’s soul!
And if I were the Devil, let’s just say I’d be paying a good premium for it! LOLMuahahahaha….
And a hockey game just broke out of a kitchen party that just broke out in Heaven…
The Wayne Gretzky of Canadian music, legend Stompin’ Connors just passed away at the age of 77 of natural causes. The press release on his website is below. I sure hope he was watching or dreaming of a hockey game, or singing or doing something he loved. He will surely be greatly missed!
